Description: This quarterly training explores ways for 21st CCLC grantees to reach attendance goals and also highlights best practices for attendance tracking, evaluation, and reporting.
COSA Town Hall:
Awareness and Intentionality (December 2020)
Description: December is a month full of holidays and joyous celebrations for many people. In this special COSA Town Hall discussion, we will identify holidays and traditions celebrated in our diverse communities and discuss ways to foster inclusive environments that educate and inspire community. We will also include tips for supporting social emotional learning and development during difficult times.
COSA PD Series:
Stay Active Stay Well (November 2020)
Description: Stay Active Stay Well is a three part professional development series. Researchers believe that extended school closures due to COVID19 could increase risk factors for weight gain in youth. Childhood obesity is a significant risk factor for obesity in adulthood, which is linked to health problems such as diabetes and heart disease.
In this series we will discuss the importance of keeping students active and helping them to make healthy choices in an effort to reduce risk factors despite community and school closures and social distancing.
